The Kidde Smoke Detector, model i12060A, is a hardwired smoke alarm with a battery backup, front-load battery door, test-silence button, and comes in a pack of 2. It is an AC/DC powered, ionization smoke alarm that operates on a 120V power source. In the event of a power outage, the smoke alarm is equipped with a 9V battery backup. The wired smoke alarm uses ionization sensing technology to detect invisible fire particles associated with flaming fires earlier than photoelectric alarms.
